The Missionary Training School in Turkana, Kenya, is a 1-year school which focuses on training missionaries in church planting, leadership, and serving in the mission field.  The first 6 months of the program consists of classes with those who have a proven record in missions, church planting, and leadership development – from the theory to the practical.  During this time, students will also be getting their feet wet in ministry alongside programs which Bread of Life Missions has already introduced in Moroungor, Turkana, including:

The Missionary Training School in Turkana, Kenya, is a 1-year school which focuses on training missionaries in church planting, leadership, and serving in the mission field.  The first 6 months of the program consists of classes with those who have a proven record in missions, church planting, and leadership development – from the theory to the practical.  During this time, students will also be getting their feet wet in ministry alongside programs which Bread of Life Missions has already introduced in Moroungor, Turkana, including:

  • Discipleship
  • Children’s Ministry
  • Youth Ministry
  • Women’s Ministry
  • Men’s Ministry
  • Widows’ Ministry
  • Pastoral Ministry
  • Medical Ministry
  • Project Management
  • Base Hospitality
The school’s second term will be spent putting all the knowledge from the first term into practice.  Students will be arranged into teams and sent away from the Bread of Life base to other areas of Kenya, South Sudan, or Uganda which is yet unreached.  The teams will use this time sharing the Good News and planting churches in the areas in which they’re staying, fulfilling the Great Commission.

This year of school is followed by a year of mentorship while serving on the mission field if the students feel led to continue serving with Bread of Life Mission.
